The casino is great, I love the assortment of games and I have a few favorites. I always have fun and it is nice to get away there for a night or two. The people who work there are always more than helpful and nice, always friendly and willing to answer questions. The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. Its in a quiet town with beautiful scenery and even some local folklore.
Overall it is ok. Newly remodeled and renamed but nothing special. Clean, spacious, and not smokey. A separate room full of video poker. Table games don't open until 3:00 P.M. We had their prime rib & shrimp buffet but had we not had a buy one get one it would not have been worth it.
We only have taken advantage of the casino floor, not the dining or resort. They have recently remodeled. It's a dimmer atmosphere than it was before, but the silhouettes of northern wildlife that decorate the perimeter are a nice touch and the tables and chairs appear new and clean. Lots of slot machines are available it that is your thing. The pit has a variety of games but it is a small amount of tables. Something to note is the craps table. It's scaled down and looks ridiculous. The night we were there, there were 3 blackjack tables open. A $10, a $5 and a $2!! $2!! Dealers were friendly enough, drinks were reasonably priced and the cocktail waitress was doing her job in a timely fashion. It's not Vegas, but for a Northwoods casino is provides entertainment for a rainy day or a night out.
Newly remodeled casino and some renovated hotel rooms make it a lot nicer. Better pay out than baraga for sure. Food is good, all home made desserts and the pizza is amazing.
Rooms & hotel were great... but the food sucks in restaurant, the snack bar is good in the casino area.... The casino is a waste of time.... worst slot play in the area
